the good thing about decaf..

..is you can drink it at night.

I love Fall. I wish that California weather would wake up and realize it's October. Some nights I put my air on so I can pretend it's cold. In all honesty, the weather isn't that bad. The heat is gone, but where did this humidity come from? I just want it to be a nice Autumn day with leaves blowing in the wind and that smell in the air. I don't know how to describe it. I smelled it late last night when I had the windows open. It gave me hope that Fall is out there..waiting..going to make it's grand appearance soon.

We went to the park this week with Gigi, Auntie & Marcus (Auntie's bf). Kaleb hasn't been since probably May or so when the weather was cooler, and he hasn't ever been with Gigi. We got bagels for breakfast and then we played. Kaleb had a lot of fun on the slides and the swings. He loved playing in the dirt too.

The new park right down the street opened earlier this week and I want to go some day real soon. I also hope to get to the Pumpkin Patch this week sometime, and then Friday night we have Zoo Boo. I couldn't decide if I wanted to go or not because everyone we wanted to go with us was busy. But we finally decided that Kaleb will probably have a good time, even if he is stuck with Daddy and Mommy and it will give him a chance to wear his costume.

We had cousin Julius's 3rd birthday party this afternoon and it was a lot of fun. Zeb and Liz did a great job on planning and decorations and it all came together really cute. There was a pony there, and as soon as it was brought out, Kaleb started with "horse! horse!" . I didn't even know he knew what a horse was!? Guess he does pay attention when were telling him what things are! So he stares this thing down for a good thirty minutes, when I hear Roland say "Kaleb's turn!". I was thinking, this man is crazy! Boy, did Kaleb prove us both wrong! When he first got on he wasn't too sure about it, but he loved it. I got some pictures, but none of him smiling, but he did a lot of it while he was up there.

There was also a pinata and he got a little overstimulated by that! He didn't like the waiting for candy part, but he even hit it once or twice!

He played water balloons and got filthy dirty and had a great time. When it was time to go we stripped him down to his diaper and put him in his car seat with Dog & Tig (explanation to come) and I think we were maybe driving five minutes and he was out cold. I am so happy he had a great time.

So..Dog & Tig. First off, the obvious. Dog is a stuffed dog given to Kaleb by Auntie. His previous name was Patches, and he belonged to Auntie for a long time. She gave Dog (aka Patches) to Kaleb and he was renamed just because he is a dog and that is pretty handy for an 18 month old to remember and say. Tig is short for Tigger..as in Winnie the Pooh's friend. He is a little tigger, maybe 8 inches long. Dog & Tig do not seperate. They go everywhere with us these days. If you grab Dog, you must grab Tig....or a tantrum will occur. It's really adorable to see Kaleb going on his walks with Daddy and holding his "friends". The other day when we were playing in Kaleb's room, I managed to get Dog & Tig in a few pictures. The first one is when we had been playing in Kaleb's room for about ten minutes, and he went running out. I had no clue what he was doing, but I was sure he would be back, so I just waited. This is how he came back.

This next one is what I like to call, "a boy and his friends".

Well I think that is enough of out me tonight. I am hoping to sleep good tonight and have a lazy day tomorrow because today was busy busy. I don't think caffeinated coffee could even keep me up right now. I am pooped! But it truly was an awesome day...and week. This upcoming one will be very eventful, but also a lot of fun.
