I can't stand cell phones. I think people are way too dependent on them these days, and for a little machine, they do way too much. I have always had a pretty basic cell phone, and even last December when I upgraded, I still got an older style of a phone, just so I could understand it.
Well last night, while doing God knows what, Kaleb broke my phone. This would be the fifth phone that child has broken in his two years on Earth..someone needs to stop letting him play with phones. I know that I have insurance on mine, so I could just call up At&t and get one shipped out for fifty bucks and call it a day. So I go online to check it all out, and realize that our account is eligible for a free upgrade. So I'm scrolling, and I come across a Blackberry..for free?! We would have to pay the fee to add a data package, which is only thirty dollars, so that would cost me less to get than even getting a new version of my phone by using the insurance.
I wanted to check with Roland first. He does have a newer phone than I do, but if I were to use the upgrade, we wouldn't be eligible for another one until this December. Of course, (because he loves me..and knows his wife) he said yes. So I ordered it. The Blackberry Curve 8520. I think it's safe to say that I am more than excited. I can't figure out why. I don't like the QWERTY keyboard, I find it too difficult. I had to purchase a data package that I will pay monthly on, but for what I pay extra every month checking my e-mail and what not it comes out the same anyways. I think I am just excited to figure out what all the hype is about. Who knows? I may end up giving it to Roland. All I know is it will be here in 3-5 days, and I am finding the wait just a little intense.
