Sugar & Spice

That's what little girls are made of.

Now that the secret is out (see below), I can let everyone know what I have been up to for the last couple of weeks.

The day we found out, we went to Target.  I love their prices on kids clothes, and for the first year, when they grow out of everything way too fast, it is great if you have a shopping addiction and want to buy lots!  I believe that day we purchased two dresses (one of which Roland picked out, and I was so very proud of him), about four pairs of comfy pants (all pink, of course!) and two onesie packs.  Ohh..and a SUPER cute skirt they had!  It was my favorite of that day.  That night I think I went home and went crazy on online shopping.  I LOVE the crocheted headbands and beanies with the big Gerbera daisies.  They can get pretty pricey, but I found an awesome lot of Ebay and got 30 brand new headbands for $8 and free shipping.  I think I got the flowers (12 with rhinestone centers) and 4 beanies for about $15.  I was definitely proud of myself.

Since that day I found a lady on Etsy who made an awesome bow holder for me, and the flower clippies clip right on it.  It's already full though with the 12 flowers, so I might have her make another one.  This is it:

I can't wait to get it put up.  I also just got an order in from Kohls.  They were having a huge sale on Carter's clothes, and I got some great deals there too.  I am going to try to lay off getting clothes now because I know we will get a ton at the shower.  My best friend has already got Gracie a couple things, and I already know she is going to be just as spoiled (rotten) as Kaleb is.

Now I need to focus on the kids room.  Even though it's a girl, I still want them to share a room for now.  It will just be easier with all the kiddo stuff in one room.  Plus, I really want to keep the third bedroom a playroom as long as I possibly can.  When we first had Kaleb, we were living in a 2 bedroom apartment and I swear, the living room looked more like a toy store...never again.

We feel so very blessed to be having "one of each".  Some days we still don't believe it's true, but August will be here before we know it, and then it will be a reality.  So very excited for snips and snails and puppy dog tails..and sugar and spice and everything nice.
