Sixteen Weeks

Well I haven't done a baby update in a while, and considering today marks week sixteen, might as well.

I had a check-up eight days ago.  I didn't get to see BabyLove, but got to hear the heartbeat.  It was a strong 160.  It's funny the things you pay attention to the second time around.  I don't remember anything at all about Kaleb's heartbeat, other than the sound of it, of course.  But that small fact didn't interest me, as long as it was there.  This time, I love it, hear it, and memorize the number.  I did lose some weight these past couple of weeks.  Sure enough, the one time in my life when I am supposed to gain, I lose.  )Dear Body, let's do that AFTER the baby is born, please.)  I know at the most, I had lost about five pounds.  By the time I got to the doctor, I had gained back three, but in their records, lost two.  Doctor did say that she could feel baby and I definitely have grown (my belly is here), so not to worry because BabyLove is obviously getting what he/she needs.  I am feeling pretty good.  Obviously still tired, but I think that the massive amount of sleep I am getting might be starting to sink in to my body.  Little by little, day by day, I get some energy.

My next appointment is April 6, and it's our big appointment.  It's the ultrasound where they do all of the measurements, make sure everything is on schedule..and could determine the gender, if we wanted to know.  I'm still holding my ground and not finding out..we'll see how that goes.

Nothing else really to report on.  Just counting the days until my baby boy turns two years old..
