A little crafty post

It's fall-time, although you couldn't tell by the ninety degree weather!  This means it is officially (well, when the weather cools down), my favorite time of year.  I have my spice cake candle lit, and there are crafts going on like crazy!  Here's a few fun things that we have been working on!

I made this for the top of the bookshelf in the living room.  I purchased the tin cans at Target in the dollar section, and already had the construction paper and pipe-cleaners.  I think it turned out pretty cute, and Kaleb loves it.

At Wal-Mart in the craft section (you could also find at the craft store, but it was only $5.00 at Wal-Mart), I bought a three-pack of foam Halloween stickies.  Kaleb's favorite in the pack are the bats!

I think his turned out a little better than mine! ;)

New Blog

A while back, there was a lot of talk about tutus on this blog.  I have been selling tutus since then, and took a little break, but now I'm back and better than ever!  I got a couple of tutu orders in last week, and decided that I wanted to do more to get my name out there.  My Etsy shop has closed down for now, and I have started up a blog

I would love if my followers would follow that site too!  It's currently a work in progress.  I have tons of tutus made and I have photos of them, but until about six weeks ago, I didn't have a tutu model!  I am taking her out tomorrow to get some photos done so that I can get more on the site.  Basically, I have access to any colors you could possibly want.  Please spread the word about the new site and tutu cute!
If any current Just a Dream followers sign up to follow tutu cute! and would like to purchase a tutu, you will receive complimentary ribbon on your tutu and complimentary shipping.

Please check it out!

30 Day, Say What?!

Everyone and their mother has been talking about being on the 30-Day Shred.  I decided back when I was pregnant that I would start it at six weeks post-partum.  So, of course, Friday night, that's what I did.  Oh. Em. GEEEEE!  I just about died.  Mind you, I have yet to get the okay from my doctor to exercise.  I guess considering I had a c-section, I should have started out easy.  Holy crap, though!  I'm taking a little break because I hurt so bad, and I have either a bladder or kidney infection.  I figure I'll start walking every night first, and then start up the Shred again.  Even when I start back, you can guarantee I won't be pushing myself as hard as Jillian would like me to!

Phew!

In a couple of weeks, it's our 4 year wedding anniversary.  I always get super excited for birthdays/anniversaries/etc., so you know I have already started looking for the perfect outfit!  It will be even more special because my mom is going to take both of the kiddo's overnight so that we can have a little time to ourselves on our special day.  We are planning on going to a nice dinner and probably a movie, since we are movie people and can't go too much anymore.  Anyways, here's my dress.  I absolutely love it!

For my birthday, Roland got me the most awesome pair of heels (all on his own, might I add), and I haven't had the chance to wear them, so I plan on wearing them with the dress.  How awesome are these?!
November 3rd needs to hurry up and get here!

5Q Friday

1. What do you listen to while driving?
93.7 Kiss Country or my iPod.  I'm a country girl and I also don't approve of my babies listening to anything else, just because I don't like the language/insinuations of most of the stuff out there.

2. What is your least favorite thing about Fall?
Not a DANG thing!  It's my almost most favorite time of the year, but it's about as good.  I love everything!

3. What does your dream house look like, inside and out?
Outside it is white with navy shutters and a red door.  Inside is a two story, with hardwood floors, except in the bedrooms.  I want about 5 or 6 bedrooms and a huge master suite with the biggest master bath ever!  As long as it's clean and updated, I don't have too many requests.

4. Would you ever own a minivan?
Sure would!  Do you know how much room those have?  And how convenient they are for a mom of 2?  Please, get me one asap!

5. Do you wash new clothes before wearing them?
Depends.  Most of the time, yes.  But if it was bought for something and I need to wear it and don't have time to wash it, then no.

5Q Friday

1. Did you have a pen pal when you were little? Where were they from?
Sort of.  I wrote to my Brammy (Mom's mom) in North Carolina all of the time.

2. If you could do a different job for one day, what would it be?
I would never want to do this job as my occupation, but I would love to go to my husband's job (he is a Juvenile Correction Officer) for a day.  Because of the type of work it is, we never can visit him or even go inside.  The most I've done is bring him lunch, he comes out to get it, and goes back in.  I would love to do it for a day so I could see what he does all day.

3. Do you remember your biggest fear from when you were little?
The dark and death.  Those are still my two biggest.

4. What do you think is a waste of time? Why?
I think worrying about what others (who don't matter) think of you is a waste of time.  If it's someone you love, and they think you are horrible, of course care what they think.  But if it's your boyfriends cousins dogs great-aunt, who cares?  Life is too short.  Be who you are, and those who matter will love you, regardless.

5. What is the oldest item you have in your closet?
Hmm..I was just in there cleaning stuff out too!  The oldest thing is probably my Doc Martens that I wore in high school.  I just had to have them.  I don't think I've worn them since.
Have a great weekend!  Happy October!
