cheater, cheater

i wasn't going to go "there". i didn't want to bring my opinions here for everyone to see. but then i saw something today and thought, nope, i need to get out what i have brewing inside of me.

by this point, everyone knows tiger woods cheated on his wife. with how many women is now the question. i could give two licks about tiger woods to be honest with you. but i do read tabloid sites, so it is all over them. today i think his fourth mistress came out? okay, tiger. while my problem isn't really with tiger, he is the reason for this post.

so, this quote was released from hugh hefner today, regarding the whole tiger woods situation:

"I think the only surprise in it, quite frankly, is that anybody would be surprised. If you're a good-looking guy and young and healthy, the notion that there would be something else going on, well, marriage is just a convenience. It's very nice for raising kids, but the notion that monogamy lasts forever is a wish!"

really, hugh? well excuse my language, but eff you. i have NO doubt in my mind that 60 years from now, if roland and i are lucky enough to still be on this earth, that we will still be together, and neither one of us will have cheated on each other. fyi, marriage is NOT and should NOT be treated like a convenience. marriage is an extremely sacred bond between two people, and the way that hollywood and a lot of this world treats it now is ridiculous. you get married because you decide that is the person that you want to spend your life with. yes, raising children. but first and foremost comes your love for one another. it might be my wishful hoping, but i believe in true love and soul mates and forever.

three people that i know and love were victims of adultery in 2009. watching what that does to a person, or a family, the doubts it makes you have, your self confidence goes out the window, i wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. to say that it's just how it is these days is despicable.

i pray for this world we live in. i pray that we will once again understand marriage vows and when we say them, we will mean them. i pray for people like hugh hefner and tiger woods, because the words and actions these men do are things that people use as an example. those are not true words or true actions of how a marriage should be. marriage and monogamy can last!

"will you love her, comfort her, honor and keep her, in sickness and in health, for richer, for poorer, for better, for worse, in sadness and in joy, to cherish and continually bestow upon her your heart’s deepest devotion, forsaking all others, keep yourself only unto her as long as you both shall live?"

SO many things about hugh hefner disgust me. Just a wrinkled, lonely (none of those girls are TRULY interested in him) old man whom people only care about for the money. He's as sad as Tiger as far as pathetic goes!!!
