New to this..

Hi all!

I decided this is a good way to keep everyone updated on Kaleb..and a good way for me to remember all the little things that "Bug" does every day. Kaleb fact number 1. That's his nickname..Bug. He is our little Bug and we love him very much. I guess since this is about Kaleb, I should catch everyone up.

Kaleb Christopher Muniz was born (via c-section) at Clovis Community Hospital on March 30, 2008 at 7:53 p.m. He was eight pounds even and twenty one and a quarter inches long. His pregnancy, labor, and delivery were the hardest things I have ever had to go through. Thank goodness it's all over! And now every day I have a beautiful smiling boy looking up at me reminding me why I went through all of it. In the beginning life with Kaleb was pretty tough. We had our first Emergency Room run (on a Thursday night during Grey's!) when he was about a month old. That night he had been crying non-stop and (after 2 hours of waiting and realizing I had forgotten the formula at home when rushing out the door!) we found out our baby boy had acid reflux and a slight milk allergy. Poor boy! We were told a specific formula to buy and that was supposed to fix it...it did, for the most part. And now, at almost five months old, everything seems to be working properly!

Kaleb was born a very strong baby boy. He always wants to be standing up, and he wants to do everything on his own....that is until Mommy walks into the other room, and then I swear all of Fresno can hear him throwing his fit!

Kaleb was baptized Catholic on June 29, 2008 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. His godparents are his Aunt Eryn and Zeb (Daddy's cousin).

On August 15, 2008, we believe Kaleb said his first word..da da. Either that or it's just mumbo jumbo...but it sure sounds a lot like da da..and he keeps on saying it!

The past four and a half months have had a lot of ups and downs. A lot of foul balls have been thrown at us, but we are handling it, and our baby boy is doing amazing!

As of today, he is sixteen pounds, so he has doubled his birth weight. He loves to eat rice cereal (with bananas even though they don't agree with him too much!) and sweet potatoes and peas. We are feeding him Gerber Organic because he certainly has a sensitive tummy, and we decided that is what is best for now. He has loved every food we have given him.

I will try to update this very often, and I hope you all will enjoy it. Please watch Kaleb grow..because we are learning that it is going to happen a lot faster than we want it too!

xoxo
till next time..

p.s. The picture that I have added of Kaleb that was taken August 13, 2008..his first Zoo trip! (turtles were the favorite!)
